Will the real FoJ please stand up?

President Bush is off heading off into treacherous political waters with a visit south of the border down Rio way, where his policies are not exactly as welcome as U.S. tourist dollars. While it's well-known that President Bush considers Jesus his favorite "political" philosopher and that Venezuela's Hugo Chavez is probably the regional president he likes least, what isn't as well known is that Chavez also considers Jesus a personal role model. Chavez, known for spicing up his already fiery anti-esatdos-unidenses rhetoric with the odd Bible verse, says Jesus is partly his guide for constructing a neo-socialist order in the South America and calls on Venezuela's Catholic clergy to lend a hand.

The two men are embroiled in a tough fight over the hearts and minds of South America, but so far the difficult "who would Jesus hang with" question remains unanswered.

The measure of a good orator seems to be his (or her) ability to twist our dialect into a form that pleases the audience.

Similarly, the measure of a good religious man seems to be his ability to twist our religion into a form that pleases the audience.

I don't know that either are good religious men, or good orators for that matter, as they both seem to be perverting the Word to their whim in an attempt to appease their core audience.
