With a Father’s heart: St. Joseph at the heart of Lent 2021

Feb 26, 2021 | Apostolate, Claret Publishing Group, ECLA, Santiago

Madrid, Spain. The Province of Santiago has many and diverse initiatives to bring the people of God into the spiritual journey of Lent. The “Plan to return” of the team of pastoralists (EPAP) and the Lenten retreat for consecrated people of the Theological Institute of Religious Life express the efforts that the Claretians multiply during these forty days before Easter, walking together with the whole Church and trying to unite the current situation we are living, that of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus – and by many other well-known viruses that also affect and cause pain – with this liturgical time, which is at the same time a space of search and of silence, of call and of waiting.

Thus, the publishing house Publicaciones Claretianas also joined in expanding this Lenten experience by summoning hundreds of people to an online meditation framed in this special year dedicated to St. Joseph. Directed by Fr. Carlos Martínez Oliveras, CMF, professor in various university centers and author of the book “10 things that Pope Francis wants you to know about St. Joseph”, it took place last February 20, and it focused on the three challenges and three attitudes of St. Joseph that can be welcomed in this Lent.
