125th anniversary of the death of Mother Antonia Paris.

Jan 19, 2011 | Claretian Family

Roma. On the 17th January we commemorated the 125th anniversary of the death of Mother Antonia Paris, Founder of the Religious of Mary Immaculate Claretian Missionary Sisters.
On top of the many observances by communities where Claretian Sisters are present, the official closing ceremony of this jubilee year took place on Sunday 16th January at the General Curia of the Missionary Sisters in Rome.Representatives of the Claretian communities were present, so too were representatives of the General Governments of female religious Congregations. After the General Superior, Mother Soledad Galerón, had pronounced an opening introduction to the ceremony, Mother Jolanta Kafka offered us some reflections on the spirituality of Mother Paris, followed immediately by the presentation of the book Paris and Claret: two writers moved by the same Spirit, written by the Claretian Sisters Mother Hortensia Muñoz and Regina Tutzó.
Following the Eucharistic service, led Fr Josep María Abella, General Superior of the Missionaries, they enjoyed a meal of fellowship.
