4 x 4 Encounter of the Italian Delegation

Roma. From the 6 – 9th of February the Claretians of the Italian Delegation had their fraternal encounter called the “4 x 4” which, on this occasion, had the character of a “spiritual retreat”.

Like on previous occasions, the place of the encounter was the “Banchi Vechi” house in the center of Rome, headquarters of the Delegation. Participating were representatives of all the communities: Segrate, Trieste, Altamura, “Santa Lucía” of Roma, and the Basilica of the Heart of Mary in Rome.

On the 7th was the expert word of Fr. Edmund Power, Abbot of the Basilica of St. Paul “outside the walls”, who directed a meditation on fraternal life in community, based on the “Definition of the Missionary”.

In addition to the dialogue and discernment on the project of life and Claretian mission in Italy, there was also a very interesting discussion with Father General, who described the urgent need to walk toward restructuring the entire Congregational presence in Europe. At this time, Father General, illustrated the steps that have already been taken in this regard and the path to follow in discernment with all the Major Organisms of this region.
