Bata, Equatorial Guinea. On August 15, 2025, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Padre Xifré Delegation of the Claretian Missionaries celebrated the first profession of nine brothers and the perpetual profession of another in a joyful ceremony in Bata.
The following made their first vows: Brothers Kibwenge Mbo Lionel (Congo), Kija Barthazary Yohana and Sekate Paul (Charles Lwanga), Nwoyeocha Chiemezie Michael (West Nigeria), Ohabuike Eze Richard and Chinedu Anthony Yagazie (East Nigeria), Lahna Antoine (Cameroon), Matondo Nkounkou Varbelin and Ename Mezui Léon (Padre Xifré). Brother Benito Enguang Mayebe Ayang (Padre Xifré) professed his perpetual vows. All made their profession in the hands of Fr. Félix-Obaga Eworo Bilogo, CMF, Major Superior.
The celebration gathered Claretians, lay members, religious sisters, diocesan priests, families, and friends. In his homily, Fr. Eworo emphasized the need for missionaries who are faithful and dedicated, true sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, following St. Anthony Mary Claret.
In this Jubilee Year of Hope, the Delegation entrusted the newly professed to the Lord, asking that they may become zealous missionaries, steadfast in their vocation.
