Brother’s Formation in Congo Delegation

May 5, 2018 | ACLA, Brothers, Congo

Kinshasa, DR Congo. On May 1, Labor Day and memory of Saint Joseph the worker, as especially suggested by the General Secretariat, the Missionary Brothers of the Independent Delegation of Congo gathered together with their Major Superior, Fr. Joseph Mbungu, CMF in Kinshasa for a prayer meeting and ongoing formation as well.

The formation focused on the identity of the Missionary Brother according to our Constitutions. They also had the chance to share their joys and sorrows in living their identity and mission, and in dealing with their brother-priests, fellow Claretians, and with the Christians or with their family members. The formation also dealt with the accompaniment for the brothers and tackled some strategies in keeping one’s vocation and mission as a religious-brother and in attracting other young people to embrace this same vocation.

The Delegation has 3 Brothers with perpetual vows, 1 with temporary vows, 1 novice, 1 postulant and an aspirant.
