Canonical Erection of Sanctus Paulus Province on January 1, 2020

Rome, Italy. Superior General, Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF, officially signed and announced today at 12 noontime in Rome, June 29, 2019, Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, the DECREE OF THE CANONICAL ERECTION OF SANCTUS PAULUS PROVINCE on January 1, 2020. The erection of the new Province is a result of the union of the current Major Organisms of Catalunya, Euskal Herria, France, and Italia. The territorial limits of the new Province will be the combination of the current ones of the aforementioned Major Organisms.The Provincial Curia will be in Barcelona, Spain.

Likewise, announced also today the Provincial Government that will govern the Organism starting January 1, 2020. The following constitute the new Provincial Government duly approved by the General Government on March 21, 2019:

Provincial Econome-Consultor:
Fr. Rafael Gómez, CMF

Provincial Consultors:
Br. Josep Codina, CMF
Fr. Raymundo Adormeo, CMF
Fr. Renato Caprioli, CMF

The aforementioned four Major Organisms carried out a process of joint reflection and work since 2015 to present. General Econome, Fr. Manuel Tamargo, CMF, accompanied them all throughout the said process. In the session of December 4, 2018, and after knowing and evaluating the results of the earlier survey that the respective Governments concerned had done in this regard, the General Government determined the official name of the new Major Organism: “Sanctus Paulus“. This Latin name will be used in all official documents and communications.
