Claret Way Youth Leaders Gather for Formation in Kattuwa

Kattuwa, Sri Lanka. A two-day formation programme for Claret Way Youth Committee Members and Youth Lay Leaders of the St. Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation was held from 26–27 February 2026 in Kattuwa, Sri Lanka. The initiative was organized by the Prefect of Apostolate and guided by Bro. Carlos Verga, CMF, General Prefect of Youth and Vocation Ministry.

The first day focused on the committee members and highlighted the importance of youth and vocation ministry within the Claretian Congregation. Participants reflected on this ministry as a shared calling, emphasizing collaboration, shared mission, and the spirit of synodality.

The second day was dedicated to youth lay leaders, emphasizing their role in evangelization and their vocation as active partners in the Claretian mission. Discussions encouraged young people to participate more fully in spreading the Gospel while nurturing their spiritual lives.

The programme provided a valuable opportunity for formation, renewal, and communion, while also encouraging future collaboration in youth and vocation ministry.
