Dear brothers:
As we all know, the world is living through an extraordinary moment, one in which violence and the disregard for human dignity—realities that have afflicted so many peoples for so long—are now manifesting themselves with renewed and unsettling force.
We want to thank you for what many of you, together with thousands of Christians and people of goodwill, are already doing. At the same time, we invite you to respond decisively to the Church’s call: to pray for peace, to resist indifference, and to raise your voices so that political leaders and all those around us may hear clearly that war, violence, and contempt for the sacred dignity of every human being can never be the way forward.
To support your prayer, reflection, and public witness, we share once again the appeal we issued a month ago together with the major superiors of our Congregation of Missionaries.
