Claretian School of Vocational Animators

May 12, 2012 | Colombia Oriental - Ecuador, Education Ministry

Bosa (Bogotá, Colombia). During the days of the 6th and 7th of May the second workshop of the Claretian School of animators of vocations was held on the premises of “Casa Claret” of our community of Bosa.

This school, recently created, has succeeded in initiating and carrying out a training program directed to local teams of the Vocation Ministry of the Claretian province of eastern Colombia and Ecuador.

Coming from their respective places in Bosa a total of 37 people, mostly lay people, have participated. The topics taught by several speakers – all Claretians – have revolved around the vocation in the OT and NT, the figure of the vocational animator, and the configuration and operation of local vocational animation teams.

Great interest was evident on the part of everyone who positively evaluated the experience. The existence of these teams bodes well for the real possibility of “vocationalizing” the pastoral activities that are carried out in the Province.
