Cavite, Philippines. The gathering of the ASCLA Organisms with the General Government in the Philippines concluded on December 11 with a Thanksgiving Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF, Superior General. The final days of the meeting became a space for harvesting the fruits of our conversations, conversions, and Spirit-filled sharing.
This encounter was truly a moment for the Asian Claretians to celebrate their diverse realities and rich cultural heritage.
The meeting was not merely an exchange of reports; it was an immersion into the Spirit’s gentle yet urgent call to renewal.
A remarkable harmony emerged through honest dialogue—a shared desire to strengthen our ministries for Youth and Vocations, a renewed awareness of the need to overcome individualism through authentic synodality, and a deep conviction that our mission will bear fruit only when it springs from interiority and contemplative depth.

For the Asian Claretians, this gathering was a rediscovery of their collective identity: rooted in the Word, moved by compassion, and committed to journeying together. The days spent together reminded us that transformation does not come from strategies alone. It blossoms when hearts are converted, relationships are deepened, and communities rediscover the joy of discerning and acting as one.
The road ahead will call for fidelity, courage, and openness to the surprises of the Spirit. Yes, we dare to walk forward—interdependent, interconnected, and sustained by the same missionary fire that once burned in the heart of St. Anthony Mary Claret.
