MISSIONARIES OF LIFE: Rooted in Christ and Audacious in Mission

Img 20211211 Wa0035On December 12 in the morning hours, we made the lauds, thanking God for the work we have been doing as a provincial community. We recall that today we celebrate the invocation of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Guadalupe. After which we moved to the Chapter House, where the minutes were read out and various issues were presented, namely:

1. Claretian Family: Secular Claretians, Religious of Mary Immaculate, etc.;
2. Institute of Religious Life for America;
3. Secretary of Spirituality;
4. Relations with the sister Province of Colombia – Venezuela;
5. Review of positions;
6. Stages of formation.

Then the drafting committee presented the fruits of the work done, the commitments were read, the respective clarifications were made, and all the commitments that we assumed as a province in the future years were approved. The Eucharist was then celebrated, presided by the new Provincial Superior and assisted by the members of the New Provincial Government, who thanked God, the brothers of the community and all the laity who are part of the missionary journey in the different structures and works which we have. The respective minutes were signed.

He also thanked the president of the Chapter Fr. Henry Omonisaye, cmf for his presence, closeness and commitment, for all the accompaniment he has provided to the province and the orientations that will help us to continue advancing in our missionary audacity, remembering that we are rooted in Christ and we must be faithful to our ministry.

20211212 123123Fr. Henry Omonisaye, cmf expressed his joy of sharing, celebrating and living with the entire provincial community, during these days of his visit and the Chapter. He recognized that we have a great walk, many seeds of life and hope that we must continue to strengthen, and continue to advance in the consolidation of all the proposals, dreams and commitments that we have made. He reminded us that we were born to evangelize, and all our structures must respond to it.

The Chapter was concluded with the text of Colossians 2:7 “Firmly rooted and built up in Him and confirmed in your faith, as you were instructed, overflowing with gratitude”
