Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Congo Independent Delegation re-echoed the Claretian Discerning Leadership Workshop on May 17, 2023, at its Delegation Curia in Kinshasa in collaboration with Cameroun Major Superior, Fr. Jude Thaddeus Langeh, CMF. The workshop aimed to provide valuable insights and guidance to the Local Superiors of the communities and heads of the structures within the Congo Independent Delegation. Fr. Jude led the workshop, bringing his expertise and knowledge to enrich the participants’ understanding of Claretian leadership principles.

The meeting commenced with an opening prayer accompanied by a song dedicated to the portrait of the founder.  Father Jude expressed his gratitude to all the participants for their presence and proceeded to share some statistics concerning the Independent Delegation of Cameroun.

The central topic of Father Jude’s address revolved around replicating the Discerning Leadership Workshop organized by the General Government. The workshop’s theme was “To Be Trained to Serve Better: Discerning Claretian Leadership.” The primary objectives of the workshop were to promote a culture of discernment, personal growth, and the exercise of discerning leadership among the participants.

There were fruitful exchanges and discussions throughout the meeting, with participants posing questions and seeking clarification. Father Jude concluded the training with a few words of encouragement and exhortation, emphasizing the importance of the training in enhancing their service as Claretian leaders.

A fraternal meal brought the meeting to a close, providing an opportunity for further camaraderie and fellowship among the attendees.
