Abuja, Nigeria — The 8th International Theological Conference of the Institute of Consecrated Life in Africa concluded successfully on November 14, 2025, after four days of reflection, dialogue, and scholarly engagement on the theme “African Perspectives and Contributions to Consecrated Life.” The gathering drew leading theologians, Church dignitaries, scholars, and members of religious institutes from across the continent.

The conference opened with an Inaugural Mass presided over by His Grace Most Rev. Fortunatus Nwachukwu, Secretary of the Dicastery for Evangelization, who also delivered the keynote address. The gathering drew to a close with a formal declaration by Fr Dr Peter Okonkwo, CMF, who also provided a preview of the upcoming 9th edition of the International Theological Conference.
