CULTURE OF CARE

Cmf

OUR CONGREGATIONAL COMMITMENT

We Claretian Missionaries embrace the culture of care as an essential dimension of our evangelizing mission. Inspired by the Gospel and the charism of Saint Anthony Mary Claret, we commit ourselves to promoting safe environments, healthy relationships, and respectful treatment of all people, especially minors and vulnerable adults.

This commitment involves preventing all kinds of abuse—of power, conscience, spiritual, or sexual—putting victims at the center, listening to their voice, and acting with responsibility, transparency, and justice. The culture of care is a way of living, relating, and carrying out mission and authority, and includes clear codes of conduct.

Ten Congregational Commitments
for a Culture of Care

(1) We recognize the inviolable dignity of every person.

(2) We promote safe environments in all our communities and activities.

(3) We reject any form of abuse, violence, or mistreatment.

(4) We prioritize listening, care, and attention to victims.

(5) We foster relationships based on respect, transparency, and shared responsibility.

(6) We take care of the human, emotional, and spiritual formation of those with pastoral responsibilities.

(7) We establish clear boundaries in all educational and pastoral relationships.

(8) We assume prevention as a task for everyone, not just for some.

(9) We act responsibly in the face of any suspicion or inappropriate situation.

(10) We collaborate with the Church and civil authorities, in accordance with the regulations in force in each country.

Do you need to report a situation?
