Day 9: Vocational Accompaniment in Claretian Family

Nov 27, 2018 | Claretian Family, Youth & Vocations Ministry

Cf Yvm Day 9 1Rome, Italy. The participants from Asia prepared a morning prayer full of symbols of the realities of the youth. They invited everyone to walk around the altar encircled with pictures of the different problems that the youth faces; to keep in mind the young people whom they know and in need of their prayers; to write them on paper; and then burn it as a sign of offering to God.

With regards to the sessions, Fr. Gabriel Isaias, CMF, Delegate Superior of Angola – Sao Tome Dependent Delegation, helped them to know more of the forms (vocational, psychological, social, familiar, educational) and places (daily and social life, places of ministry – parishes, schools, universities, and digital world) on which one can do youth accompaniment. He also said that there are different ways to call and propose vocations: family, education, consecrated life, different professions.

Moreover, Br. Carlos Verga, CMF, General Prefect of Youth and Vocations Ministry, introduced and highlighted to them the common charismatic traits in the Claretian Family: missionary disciple of Jesus; listeners and servants of the Word; in community; going-forth to the social peripheries and of the world; prophetic dimension of faith (JPIC); in prophetic dialogue; shared mission; and with Mary in the fight against evil. In small group and in plennary sessions they discussed the given traits.

They ended the day with the Eucharist led by the participants from India.
