\"\"<\/span><\/strong>Barcelona, Spanien.<\/strong> Am 20. Oktober abends begannen die Feiern zur Seligsprechung der 109 Claretiner-Martyrer. Der erste Akt, der die claretinische Familie zusammenf\u00fchrte, war eine Gebetsvigil, die von unserem Generaloberen P. Mathew Vattamattam geleitet wurde. Sie fand in der Herz-Marien-Kirche in Barcelona statt.<\/p>\n

Im Kommentar zu den Lesungen bemerkte er, dass die Seligsprechung, die am Samstagmorgen in der Sagrada Familia gefeiert werde, ein \u201eGlaubensgeschehen\u201c sei. Auch erkl\u00e4rte er, man m\u00fcsse die Martyrer als einzelne anerkennen, jeden mit seinem Namen, \u201eweil wir nicht von Mythen sprechen, sondern von konkreten Menschen, die aus Familien unseres Landes stammten, in unseren Bildungseinrichtung gebildet wurden, Menschen, die den Schatz der missionarischen Berufung in den irdenen Gef\u00e4\u00dfen ihres Menschseins trugen.\u201c<\/p>\n

Deswegen wies er auf den \u201eWeg\u201c hin, den die Claretinergemeinschaft in den letzten 109 Tagen gegangen ist, in denen sie sich auf der Homepage zur Seligsprechung www.109cmf.org<\/a> jeden Tag auf einen der 109 Seligen konzentriert hat.<\/p>\n

Pater General erinnerte daran, dass \u201ewir heute in verschiedenen Teilen der Welt eine Verfolgung aufgrund des Evangeliums erleben\u201c, auch in Konfliktgebieten oder in Grenzbereichen, wo die Claretiner heute pr\u00e4sent sind. Und er erkl\u00e4rte, wenn wir heute imstande seien, diese Verfolgung \u201ein Demut und Mut anzunehmen, werden wir auch wie unsere Martyrer die au\u00dferordentliche Fruchtbarkeit erfahren, die aus dem Kreuz Jesu sprie\u00dft.\u201c<\/p>\n

Die Feier begann mit einer Palmprozession. Die von Claretinerstudenten getragenen Palmen sind ein Symbol des Martyriums. Diese Geste erinnert daran, dass eine gro\u00dfe Zahl der Martyrer der Claretiner-Missionare junge Studenten aus dem Seminar Cervera sind, von denen manche erst 16 Jahre alt oder wenig \u00e4lter waren. In einer gesammelten Atmosph\u00e4re wurden die Namen der 109 Martyrer verlesen. W\u00e4hrend die Namen vorgetragen wurden, wurde am Altar f\u00fcr jeden Martyrer eine Kerze entz\u00fcndet, die auf dem Boden zur Zahl \u201e109\u201c gestellt wurden.<\/p>\n

Bei der Vigil wurde auch f\u00fcr die verschiedenen Gruppen der claretinischen Familie gebetet und darum, dass sie das Zeugnis der Martyrer im Angesicht der \u00e4u\u00dfersten Schwierigkeiten st\u00e4rke. Insbesondere f\u00fcr die kranken oder \u00e4lteren Claretiner-Missionare, f\u00fcr die Missionare in der Ausbildung, f\u00fcr diejenigen, die Verfolgung leiden und f\u00fcr die Laien, die auf der ganzen Welt Anteil am claretinischen Charisma haben, wurde gebetet. Eine Bitte war, dass alle \u201eBauleute von Frieden und Vers\u00f6hnung in den eigenen Gemeinschaften und in der Gesellschaft sein m\u00f6gen.\u201c<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Der Beginn der Seligsprechungsfeiern war eine internationale Begegnung der claretinischen Familie, der verschiedenen Institutionen und Gruppen, die vom heiligen Antonius Maria gegr\u00fcndet wurden oder sich von seinem Charisma inspirieren lassen. Nigeria, die Philippinen, \u00c4quatorialguinea, Mexiko, Honduras, Panama, Kolumbien, Venezuela, Bolivien, Argentinien, Chile, Peru, die Vereinigten Staaten, Kanada, Korea oder Indonesien sind einige der L\u00e4nder,die bei der Seligsprechung vertreten sein werden. Darunter sind 14 Claretinerbisch\u00f6fe. Auch sind nach Barcelona Claretiner aus ganz Europa gekommen, die Vertreter der Organismen zur internationalen Koordination der Claretiner-Missionare auf den f\u00fcnf Kontinenten und der Generalleitung.<\/p>\n

Es nimmt auch eine breite weibliche Vertretung der claretinischen Familie teil wie die Generaloberin der Missionarinnen von der claretinischen Institution M. Gracia Garc\u00eda-Baquero, die Generaloberin der Claretiner-Missionarinnen Jonata Mar\u00eda Kafka, die Generalleiterin der Filiatio Cordimariana Mar\u00eda del Mar \u00c1lvarez und Schwestern aus anderen Kongregationen.<\/p>\n

Unter den Teilnehmern sind auch einige Angeh\u00f6rige der Martyrer und Leute aus den Herkunftsorten der Martyrer zusammengekommen, die morgen auch an der Seligsprechung teilnehmen werden.<\/p>\n

Die Gebetsvigil wurde in der Herz-Marien-Kirche gefeiern, die ein fester Bezugspunkt der Claretinergemeinschaft im Stadtteil Gr\u00e0cia ist. Nach Vic, wo der heilige Antonius Maria Claret die Kongregation gr\u00fcndete, war Gr\u00e0cia das zweite Haus der Kongregation, das 1859 gegr\u00fcndet wurde. Seit damals sind die Claretiner in Barcelona pr\u00e4sent geblieben. Gegenw\u00e4rtig sind in diesem Ort die Pfarrei Herz-Marien, das Colegio Claret Barcelona, zwei Claretinergemeinschaften und der Sitz der Provinzleitung von Katalonien. In der Kirche ist auch einer der Mitgr\u00fcnder der Kongregation Pater Jaume Clotet bestattet. Einige von den Martyrern geh\u00f6rten ebenfalls zu dieser Gemeinschaft.<\/p>\n

rcelona, Spain. <\/span><\/strong>The celebration of the beatification of the 109 Claretian martyrs began in the afternoon of October 20 with a prayer vigil presided over by Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, our Superior General. Father General remarked that the beatification to be celebrated this Saturday morning in the Holy Family is „an event of faith“. He also explained that the martyrs must be recognized one by one, by their names, because „we are not talking about myths, but about specific people, coming from families of our land, educated in our formation centers, men who carried the treasure of themissionary vocation in earthen vessels of their humanity. „<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the same reason why in the Claretian communities, in the past 109 days, they were introduced with a martyr’s name each day with its corresponding biography presented through the website dedicated for the beatification:<\/span> www.109cmf.org<\/a><\/p>\n

Furthermore, Father General recalled that „today, in various parts of the world, we live persecution because of the Gospel“, also in areas in conflict or border where today there is Claretian presence. And he explained that if today we are able to accept this persecution „with humility and courage, we will also experience, like our martyrs, the extraordinary fecundity that springs from the cross of Jesus.“<\/span><\/p>\n

The celebration began with a procession of palms, symbol of martyrdom, carried by Claretian students. A gesture that remembers that a great number of the martyrs of the Claretian Missionaries are young students of the seminary of Cervera, some of of them 16 years of age or a little more. In an atmosphere of recollection, the name of the 109 martyrs has been pronounced one by one. The images of all the martyrs have presided over the celebration. While proclaiming the names, a candle for each martyr has been lit on the altar, forming on the ground the form of the number „109“.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the vigil, prayers for the various branches of the Claretian family were also offered so that the testimony of faith of the martyrs would strengthen them in the face of the most extreme difficulties. A prayer was also said especially for the Claretian missionaries who are ill or older, for the young in formation, for those who suffer persecution and the laity who share the Claretian charism throughout the world. And a petition to be all „builders of peace and reconciliation in the communities themselves and in society“ was also said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The beginning of the celebration of the beatifications was a moment of international encounter of the Claretian family, the various institutions and groups founded or inspired by the charism of St. Anthony Mary Claret. Nigeria, the Philippines, Equatorial Guinea, Mexico, Honduras, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, the United States, Canada, Korea or Indonesia are some of the countries that will be represented at the beatification. Among them are fourteen Claretian bishops.Claretians from all over Europe have also come to Barcelona, the representatives of the International Coordination Bodies of the Claretian Missionaries of the five continents and the General Government.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is also a wide representation of women from the Claretian family, such as the Superior General of the Missionary Sisters of the Claretian Institute, M. Gracia Garc\u00eda-Baquero, Superior General of the Religious of Mary Immaculate Claretian Missionary Sisters, Jolanta Mar\u00eda Kafkala, General Director of the Daughters of the Holy and Immaculate Heart of Mary Cordimarian Filiation, Mar\u00eda del Mar \u00c1lvarez, and sisters of other congregations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some of the relatives of the martyrs and people from the native places of the martyrs will also be present.<\/span><\/p>\n

The prayer vigil was held in the Sanctuary of the Heart of Mary, one of the reference centers of the Claretian community located in the neighborhood of Gr\u00e0cia. After Vic, where St. Anthony Mary Claret founded the Congregation in 1849, that of Gr\u00e0cia is the second house of the Congregation founded in 1859. Since then the Claretians have maintained their presence in Barcelona. Currently in the same location is the parish Santuari Cor de Mar\u00eda, Claret School of Barcelona, two Claretian communities, and is the seat of government of the Province of Catalunya. The Church also hosts the remains of one of the cofounders of the Congregation, Father Jaime Clotet. Some of the martyrs also belong to this community.<\/span><\/p>\n
