Osaka, Japan. On December 1, 2018, Claretian student Stephen Nguyen Van Nang, CMF was ordained deacon at Daito Parish, Osaka. Auxiliary Bishop of Osaka, Josep M. Abella, CMF, celebrated the Ordination Mass that was carefully prepared and staged. Many friends of the Claretians in Osaka from the parishes in Imaich, Kadoma, and Hirakata also attended the celebration, as well as some Vietnamese friends of deacon Stephen Nang. His Brother and sister in law and a little nephew were also present. At the end of the celebration Fr. Takenobu, East Asia Delegation Vicar, gave thanks to all present and deacon Stephen also shared in Japanese and Vietnamese the emotions of his heart for the day.
