Barrackpore, India. The diaconate ordination of students A. John Britto, CMF (Province of Chennai) and B. Honest Raj, CMF (Kolkata Independent Delegation) took place at 6:30 am of September 7, 2019 at the community chapel of Claret Nivas, Barrackpore. Rev. Fr. V. Lawrence, CMF, Major Superior of Kolkata, presented the candidates to His Grace, Most Rev. Thomas D’Souza, D.D., Archbishop of Kolkata, who presided over the Eucharistic celebration and conferred the ordination of diaconate on both candidates.
Claretian priests and students, priests and brothers from Morning star College, religious sisters from the neighboring communities, and some of the parishioners from the Rupantor solemnized the occasion with their prayerful presence. The celebration was meaningfully and gracefully organized by the community.
