Elected Provincial Superior of Colombia Occidental

Colombia. The Claretians of Colombia Occidental, gathered in Chapter, elected the Superior who will guide the Province during the next years: Fr. Javier Pulgarín Toro. Fr. Javier is 58 years old. He made the theological studies and the degree in Education in the Pontifical University of Medellín (Colombia). He worked for several years in the mission of Chocó (Colombia). He has been provincial Prefect of apostolate and, during the last months, provincial Superior. He was elected by the members of the Province to represent them in the General Chapter of August-September 2009.

He cultivates poetry and drawing, getting his inspiration from the afro-atrateño reality, and has published several works on these matters.

The Claretians presently have 2 Major Organisms or Provinces. Both Organisms are now celebrating their Chapter.
