Encounter with Claretians of the Third Age

Spain. Following the plan for this year 2007-2008, 15 Claretians among the eldest gathered in Agurain (Salvatierra) on April 19, to have an encounter of reflection and celebration. Fr. Josu Alday, from the Claretianum (Rome), led in the reflection and presided over the Eucharist.
The encounter began with a prayer directed by the Provincial Superior, Joseba Kamiruaga, followed by two working sessions with this scheme:
Projection of n. 70 of the document Vita Consecrata, about the advanced age
Comment and reflection on permanent formation of the religious in the third age:

-Permanent Formation for the third age

-Permanent Formation in the third age

Projection of some spiritual tasks proper for the third age

Making the experience of a deeper faith
Purification of the desire

The hard and naked search for God

Unification of love

Giving up the helm of our life

The Encounter ended with the celebration of the Eucharist.

Fr. Josu Alday distributed among the attendants two documents for reading and personal study on the theme and the perspective that we had taken in the reflection on the same:

-Spiritual tasks proper for the Third Age.

-Two verbs (“I want” and “I accept”) to be conjugated in the Third Age.

Fr. Provincial distributed among the attendants:

-A remembrance-relic of the natal house of Fr. Claret.

-The book “Las etapas de la vida” (Stages of life) by Romano Guardini.

-The book “Un corazón Nuevo” (A new heart) by Alfredo Mª Pérez Oliver.
