European Quinquennio Gathering 2019

Dec 16, 2019 | ECLA, Formation, Ongoing Formation

Colmenar Viejo, Spain. Last weekend, December 13-15, 2019, fourteen young Claretian Missionaries participated in the European Quinquennio Gathering 2019. The participants addressed the affective challenges of apostolic life through the dynamics given by Fr. Basilio Álvarez Llana, CMF of the Province of Santiago and by the formators from Colmenar Viejo and Granada. The speaker moved through the psycho-emotional, moral and spiritual dimensions of affectivity, offering clues for analysis, integration and mature growth during the ministerial exercise of the years following the initial formation.

The participants thanked the effort made by the Claretians from Poland, the United Kingdom and France to participate in the gathering. Likewise, the group lived with a unique joy the presence of Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, Superior General, who shared his vision and experience on the affective integration necessary to exercise the missionary life.

They joyfully shared the Claretian fraternity, prayer, intimacy, and personal experiences. They hope to learn to take care of the gift of the Missionary Vocation received to be able to care for and accompany the people whom God gave them to attend to.
