Chaclacayo-Lima, Peru. On January 3, the 1st Chapter of the newly created Province of Peru-Bolivia, began at “Casa Claret” in Chaclacayo-Lima.
29 members are in attendance at the Chapter, and it is presided over by Father General, Josep Ma. Abella CMF The Chapter, most notably, is hosting Claretians of more than 7 nations . There are also representatives from the Province of Euskaleria attending as guests.
At 15:00, Fr Josep María Abella began with the official message. Sharing the presidential table were Fr Juan Carlos Bartra, the current Provincial, and his Council.
After reminding everyone of the rules of procedure for the Chapter, they proceeded to the election of secretary, moderators and minute-takers.
After a short break, there was then a reading of the ” Report of the Province”. The Provincial, Juan Carlos Bartra and the Econome gave their corresponding reports.
The day concluded with the celebration of the Eucharist, presided by Fr General.
