First Final Profession in South Sudan

Kodok, South Sudan. On 8 December 2025 Stu. Maria Thevan Morais made his perpetual religious profession at St. Stephen’s Parish, Kodok. The religious community serving there, together with the parish faithful, gathered to witness the celebration. On behalf of the Major Superior, Very Rev. Fr. J.M.J. Jeyaseelan (St. Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation, Sri Lanka–South Sudan), Fr. Milfer Vaz, CMF, received the vows.

The ceremony took place with members of the local community and parishioners present as witnesses to the profession. This event marks the first Claretian final profession celebrated in South Sudan.
