First Religious Profession in the Philippines

Ormoc City, Philippines. It was a grace-filled Sunday afternoon, July 5, 2020, when six novices made their first temporal profession in a solemn Eucharistic Celebration held at the Gallardo Conference Hall, Claret Novitiate House, Ormoc City. The six newly-professed young missionaries namely: Randy Grano, John Paul Rante, Vrent Kiblasen, Nguyen Van Hau, Tran Vinh and Lu Heng (East Asia Delegation), professed their evangelical vows in the hands of Fr. Amador Tumbaga, CMF, Provincial Vicar and Master of Novices, who was delegated by Fr. Elias Ayuban, Jr., CMF, Provincial Superior.

The celebration of the Mass and Rite of Profession was live-streamed via Facebook, allowing different Claretian communities and families of the brothers who were to witness the event, considering the travel restrictions caused by the present pandemic.

Meanwhile, in Quezon City, three Postulants officially entered the Novitiate through a simple Eucharistic Celebration held at the St. Anthony Mary Claret Theology House. The Provincial Superior, Fr. Elias Ayuban Jr., CMF accepted them. They will temporarily have their Novitiate in Luzon until travel restrictions are lifted in the Philippines.
