Rome, Italy. In yesterday’s session of the General Government, the Superior General and his Government accepted the resignation of Fr. Jacob Arakkal CMF from the office of Provincial Superior of Bangalore. At the same meeting, Father General and his Council:

• appointed Fr. Jose Koonamparampil, CMF as the Delegate of Superior General with all the competencies proper to a Major Superior to animate the Province and prepare for the celebration of the Provincial Chapter in December 2020;

• and confirmed the current Consultors of the Provincial Government of Bangalore in the exercise of their respective offices until the celebration of the Provincial Chapter.

Fr. Koonamparampil took possession of his office at the General Curia in Rome in the morning of April 18, 2020. Fr. Joseph has been serving for the last 20 years in the Vatican office of the Sacred Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.
