Gathering of Claretian Students of Iberia

May 11, 2009 | Brothers, Congregation, Portugal

Portugal. The shrine of Fatima (Portugal) is housing these days the encounter of students and postulants of Iberia which is being held year after year. All in all, 44 Claretians participated: Fr. Mathew Vattamattam (General Prefect of Formation), Fr. Bellella (director of the CESC – Vic), 19 Claretians from the International Formation Centre of Colmenar, 5 from the Pius XII of Lisbon 15 from Betica (theologate of Granada and postulancy of Seville) and 1 from Colombia. On this occasion, the Province of Portugal, as host, has arranged everything so that the formandi that came from the Provinces of Catalonia, Euskal Herria, Betica, Santiago and Portugal, and belonging to 13 different organisms scattered throughout the world, could reflect and pray in communion of spirit on words that have become key pieces in the configuration of the social and congregational puzzle in which we live: plurality and multiculturalism and, what is more difficult yet, interculturality in the universal light of the Gospel.

May Our Lady of Fatima guide our formandi and all the missionaries in the search for the new face of the congregation and may she form us in her generous maternal heart, just as she accompanied the heterogeneous group of the first disciples.
