Sorrento, Italy. From March 16 to 18, 2026, the General Government took a few days of reflection before the start of their intensive sessions. They convened at the Franciscan Sisters Immacolatine’s Oasi Madre Della Pace in Sorrento, Italy. They revisited the essential points raised in the encounter of major superiors in Sri Lanka, preparatory to the General Chapter.
The General Government dedicated much time to discussing not only the methodology but also refining the pathways leading to the General Chapter for the year 2027. Moreover, they also looked into some of the themes that may be additionally considered for reflection, as well as some logistical preparations. During these days of serious reflection, the religious sisters also shared moments of prayer with them and celebrated the Holy Eucharist. The General Government’s time in Naples was a period of profound reflection, spiritual renewal, and meaningful dialogue.
