Abuja, Nigeria. On 27 September 2025, the Institute of Consecrated Life in Africa (InCLA) marked a milestone with its Second Convocation Ceremony and the blessing of the new Grotto of Our Lady of Good Health and Community House at its Abuja campus.

The Mass and blessing rites were presided over by the Bishop of Bauchi Diocese, Most Rev. Hilary Dachelem, CMF, in the presence of the ACLA President and InCLA Governing Board Chairman, Fr. Felix Obaga, CMF, representatives from Veritas University led by Monsignor Saasa, and other dignitaries.

In his welcome, InCLA Director, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Okonkwo, CMF, thanked participants and described the twin events as signs of God’s providence. The convocation lecture was delivered virtually by the Superior General of the Claretian Missionaries, Very Rev. Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF, who stressed the role of faith-based education in forming character and leaders for society.

The grotto, donated by Sir and Lady Valentine Agodi Ezeokeke, was blessed by the bishop, who prayed for the donors and entrusted the community to the Virgin Mary’s care.

The celebration ended with words of gratitude, a reception, and renewed commitment to InCLA’s mission.
