JPIC: Keeping on Walking as a Family

Jun 26, 2022 | Claretian Family, JPIC, UN Presence

Although the day and time were not good for many, about eighty people met via Zoom on Sunday, June 26, 2022, to share the commitment of the Claretian Family to justice, peace, and the integrity of Creation. Along with two simple moments of prayer animated by Claretian Missionaries, the participants listened to Fr. Vincent S. Anes, CMF, JPIC Coordinator of the Claretian Missionaries, and Fr. Rohan Dominic, CMF, coordinator of the Claretian presence at the United Nations.

The participants (connected from the five continents) reaffirmed their desire to continue advancing in the care of the planet and the defense of a more just world and discussed how to increase their commitment to the proposals of Laudato Si’, the social doctrine of the Church and the projects of the international community (SDG-ODS).

The joy linked to the feast of the Heart of Mary was tinged with sad news such as the death of a good number of African immigrants who were trying to enter Spain, the murder of an Italian nun in Haiti, and the situation in Ecuador. The Claretian Family desires to increase even more its commitment to the millions of people around the world who experience injustice and its lethal consequences.
