Vic, Spain. The recent bicentennial of the birth of Father Jaume Clotet has inspired Pablo Navarro, a member of the board of ASU (Cercle Artista Sords Units) and the editorial board of the digital magazine www.espiell.cat, to create a documentary that explores the life and work of this venerable Claretian brother. The documentary titled: “Clotet. El logos a les mans” has been the result of a laborious and well-presented effort, and is now available on the magazine’s website, offering a unique opportunity to understand the figure of Father Clotet better.

“We appreciate the work done and congratulate everyone who has brought it to light with our warmest congratulations. We also appreciate that they have allowed us to make it available on our website so that it can be visited by all those interested in learning more and better about the surprising life of this venerable brother of ours.” Declares Father Juan Carlos Martos, CMF, Director of the Claretian Spirituality Center (CESC).

The bicentennial has been a reason for great activity surrounding the figure of Father Clotet. Father Juan Carlos Martos, CMF, has shared his reflections on Father Clotet’s legacy and its significance in this year of celebration. Furthermore, the CESC has dedicated a special section on its website to the anniversary, and numerous events have been held worldwide to commemorate his life and work. The Superior General of the Claretian Missionaries, Father Mathew Vatamattam, has also published a circular highlighting the importance of Father Clotet and the impact of his teachings on the Claretian community.
