Owerri, Nigeria. On September 7, 2025, nine members of the Claretian Missionaries of East Nigeria Province made their perpetual profession at St. Anthony Mary Claret Parish, New Owerri, Imo State. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the Provincial Superior, Very Rev. Fr. Nathaniel Eke, CMF, and attended by Claretian priests, religious, lay faithful, and families of the newly professed.

In his homily, Fr. Eke described the vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience as a radical commitment to Christ and the missionary life. He urged the professed to remain faithful through prayer and study, the “two wings” emphasized by St. Anthony Mary Claret, and called on families to support them in their vocation.

The celebration ended with a joyful reception at Claret Academy Secondary School, filled with thanksgiving, dances, and fraternal joy. Fr. Eke expressed gratitude to families, parishioners, and all who contributed to the success of the day.
