Opening of the “Encounter House”

Cuautla, Mexico. This past March 13th the headquarters of the NIEV Foundation (“Children and Youth Who Hope to Live”) was opened in the city of Cuautla, Morelos State (México). The new headquarters, like a good omen, is called “Casa Encuentro” [Encounter House].

The Foundation is the fruit of the shared mission of various groups of the laity, Claretian Missionaries and Cordimarian Sisters who have dedicated their efforts to “street children and youth” with risk for addictions. Among the principal promoters of the project are Mr. Oscar Vyeira and Fr. Román Ángel Moreno, CMF.

Prior to the blessing a Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Alejandro Cerón, CMF, Provincial Superior of México.

The new house was blessed by Fr. Friedhelm Henning, CMF from the Province of Germany, principal contact with a group of German and Austrian benefactors who have helped the Foundation. The celebration ended with a social. FOTOS.
