Kandy, Sri Lanka. The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was a joyous celebration at Claret Nivas, Kandy, on September 8, 2020. Two remarkable events characterized it: the Diaconal Ordination of two students Iresh Nimarshana Fernando and Abraham Joharasa Donald Christy, CMFF, and the renewal of vows of the other twenty-three other students who form part of the international community of Kandy.

Most Rev. Joseph Vianney Fernando, the Local Ordinary of Kandy, conferred the order to the two new deacons of St. Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation and graced the ceremony. Fr. J.M. Joseph Jeyaseelan, CMF, Major Superior of the said Delegation, received the renewal of vows of the other students.

The gift of our Blessed Mother, the ordination of the two new deacons, the renewal of vows gave the occasion for the Claretian Family of Sri Lanka to be together and celebrate the joy of the event, solidifying the Claretian fraternal unity and reliving our charism.
