Ordinations in Indonesia

Kupang, Indonesia. On August 18, 2018, eight of our young Missionaries were ordained priest by Msgr. Petrus Turang, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Kupang, in Sta. Mary Assumption Parish, Kotabaru, Kupang. They are: Frs. Belarmino da Costa Oliveira, Eusabius Toda, Fredy Yohanes Mema Lana, Gabriel Boli Wadan, Gregorius Berthon Mbete, Guntherdius Jefry Nitbani, Rocky Xareal, Thomas Mekar Joustefen, CMFF.

Present during the celebration are the members of the Delegation Council of Indonesia-Timor Leste; Fr. Leo Dalmao, CMF, General Prefect of Formation who is currently conducting the general canonical visitation; Fr. John Francis Diraviam, CMF – Delegate Superior of St. Charles Lwanga; and some Claretian Missionaries of the Delegation and around one thousand friends, relatives, and parishioners.

In his homily, the bishop invited the newly ordained to be faithful in gazing on the face of our Master, Jesus.

In his remarks Fr. Yohanes Maria Vianey Lusi Emi, cmf asked the newly ordained “to be creative but remain in fidelity” in telling the Story of the Joy of the Gospel.

The day after, the newly ordained celebrated their Thanksgiving Mass at the Seminari Hati Maria, Kupang which was attended by almost 1500 people.

Three of the newly ordained will go back to their incardinated Organism: Fr. Gabriel Boli Wadan, CMF to St. Charles Lwanga Independent Delegation, while Frs. Rocky Xareal and Thomas Mekar Joustefen, CMFF to the Province of Bética in Spain.
