Ibadan, Nigeria. The Independent Delegation of West Nigeria joyfully celebrated the Perpetual Profession and Diaconate Ordination of its members between December 24 and 28, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State, marking a significant moment in the Claretian formation journey.
On December 24, four students, Adjerhore Ogagaoghene Solomon, Dung Alexander Mancha, Egunjobi Tolulope Anthony, and Job Felix Odunayo, CMFF, made their Perpetual Profession at the Claret House of Theology, Elerumoke, Ibadan. The Mass was presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Augustine Mab-Segun Medaiyedu-Ambrose, CMF, Major Superior of the Delegation, who encouraged the professandi to remain faithful to their lifelong commitment, reminding them that the offering to God embraces all they are and will become. Claretian priests from West Nigeria and perpetually professed members from the Cameroon Delegation were present.
On December 28, the four perpetually professed members were ordained deacons at St. Gregory Catholic Church, Moniya, Ibadan, together with Revs. Changa Styve and Ngakoutou William, CMFF, from the Independent Delegation of Cameroon. The ordination was presided over by Most Rev. Dr. Gabriel ‘Leke Abegunrin, Archbishop of Ibadan, with the presence of the Emeritus Archbishop of Ibadan, Major Superiors, Claretians, diocesan priests, and other consecrated persons.
These celebrations highlight God’s continued blessing on the Claretian mission in Africa and call for prayers for the newly professed and ordained, that they may serve with fidelity and fruitfulness.
