Preparing for the Universal Mission

Kupang, Indonesia. Indonesia – Timor Leste Independent Delegation will send more missionaries for the universal mission to several countries this year in answer to the demands of other Major Organisms. Indonesia – Timor Leste will send nine missionaries: 2 to East Asia Independent Delegation, 2 to Antillas Independent Delegation, 2 to the Province of Centroamérica, 2 to the Province of Perú-Bolivia, and 1 to St. Charles Lwanga Independent Delegation.

In this regard, a Universal Mission Orientation for these missionaries took place from June 22 to July 4, 2020, at the Claretian House in Kupang. The orientation aimed to equip the missionaries, orient them on the different facts and culture of the country of destination. They invited missionaries who have lived with other missionaries from different countries shared their experiences. They also had sessions on inculturation and discussions on Church and Congregational documents. All these efforts are for the hope that these newly appointed missionaries will quickly adapt to their new mission.
