A CALL TO BE ROOTED IN CHRIST AND AUDACIOUS IN GIVING WITNESS

Kupang – Indonesia. It has been a blessing for Indonesia-Timor Leste Independent Delegation on this Advent pilgrimage with the third ordination in 2021. On Saturday, December 18, 2021 at St. Francis of Asisi of BTN Kolhua – Kupang parish Msgr. Petrus Turang, Archbishop of Kupang ordained four of our deacons to the priesthood together with other deacons from the local diocese. The four newly ordained priests are Frs. Aloysius Etwino Ganti, Hergianus Jebarus, Kalixtus Kapistrano and Silvestre Antonio Pereira, CMFF.

In his homily Bishop Turang admonished the newly ordained to be truly rooted in Christ as the model and center their lives in His Word. It is the only weapon to tackle worldly temptations nowadays.

The following day the four newly ordained celebrated their thanksgiving mass at Claret Open Hall, Seminari Hati Maria Kupang with the Claretian communities and limited family members and guests due to the pandemic restriction and in order to respect the solitude experience of Advent journey.

One of these new priests, Fr. Hergianus Jebarus, cmf who is part of St. Charles Lwanga Independent Delegation after completing his academic and formative process will go back to his incardinated organism. We pray the Lord to bless them and grant them happy and fruitful missionary journeys wherever they are sent.
