PRIESTLY ORDINATIONS IN THE DELEGATION OF ANTILLAS

Jul 21, 2021 | Antillas, Cameroun, Noticeboard, Ordinations

San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic. On Friday, July 16, 2021, the Independent Delegation of Antillas celebrated the priestly ordination of three Claretian Missionaries: Antoine Macaire Christian Noah, Kelvin Adames Díaz, and Yves-Marie Cajuste. The Eucharistic ceremony of Ordination took place in St. Joseph Parish, in the framework of the 172nd anniversary of the foundation of our Congregation and presided by Bishop Fr. Rubén Antonio González Medina, CMF.

The ceremony was also attended by the Major Superior of the Delegation, Fr. Fausto Cruz Rosa, CMF and his Council, the Bishop of the Diocese of Puerto Plata, Fr. Julio Cesar Corniel, as well as a good representation of Claretian Missionaries, Lay Claretians, religious and lay faithful from the different Claretian communities of the Dominican Republic.

Fr. Rubén, during his homily, exhorted the young deacons to configure themselves with Christ the Priest, following the life example of St. Anthony Mary Claret, and to live their priesthood in a missionary key, available to be sent to any part of the world to announce the Gospel of Salvation. In his words he also encouraged them to keep in mind in their ministry the humility and tenderness of the Virgin Mary, as well as to remember the definition of the Claretian missionary that St. Anthony Mary Claret bequeathed to us.

The celebration of the ordination filled with emotion and joy those present and could be followed through various Internet channels, thus offering the possibility to the relatives and friends of Kelvin (from the Dominican Republic), Yves-Marie (native of Haiti) and Antoine (native of Cameroon) to follow closely the ordination ceremony.

At the end of the Eucharist, Fr. Kelvin Adames, on behalf of the newly ordained, offered a few words of gratitude to those present, highlighting the closeness and grace of God in their formation process, remembering that without His help they can do nothing:

“During these years, God has been great with us, and we are joyful. We must admit that the Lord never abandons us, that He is the author of every vocation and of every Grace that can be received”.
