Em todo o mundo, grandes cidades, institui\u00e7\u00f5es p\u00fablicas e governamentais, empresas, resid\u00eancias e pontos tur\u00edsticos ic\u00f4nicos apagaram as luzes n\u00e3o essenciais por uma hora, escurecendo os horizontes em um apelo conjunto para proteger o clima e a biodiversidade. Esses materiais convidavam as comunidades a refletir sobre a emerg\u00eancia clim\u00e1tica, as injusti\u00e7as ligadas \u00e0 economia baseada em combust\u00edveis f\u00f3sseis e as consequ\u00eancias ambientais e humanas da guerra no Oriente M\u00e9dio. Em abril de 2026, os governos da Col\u00f4mbia e dos Pa\u00edses Baixos acolher\u00e3o em Santa Marta, Col\u00f4mbia, a Primeira Confer\u00eancia Internacional sobre a Transi\u00e7\u00e3o Justa para Longe dos Combust\u00edveis F\u00f3sseis, uma iniciativa hist\u00f3rica que visa promover a coopera\u00e7\u00e3o internacional na elimina\u00e7\u00e3o gradual dos combust\u00edveis f\u00f3sseis de forma justa e equitativa, e que est\u00e1 ligada \u00e0 iniciativa do Tratado sobre os Combust\u00edveis F\u00f3sseis.
