Sakdje adopts Saint Anthony Mary Claret!!!

Sakdje, Cameroon. A new parish dedicated to Saint Anthony Mary Claret has just been canonically erected in Sakdje through a colorful ceremony led by the Archbishop of Garoua himself, Msgr. Faustin Ambassa Ndjodo, C.I.C.M., with the Delegation Government of the Independent Delegation of Cameroun.

The erection of the first Claretian mission parish in the northern part of Cameroun was announced and decreed by the Archbishop on August 29, 2022. And the official ceremony took place on Sunday, October 30, 2022 back to back with the Confirmation of 124 young people.

The presence of the Government of the Delegation showed the seriousness and commitment of the Claretian Missionaries of Cameroun to journey with the northern people of the country and to face the pastoral realities and the missionary challenges that the Claretians already present in Sakdje are facing. Father Destin Alolo, CMF, will be the first Parish Priest and will be assited by Deacon Carlos Seutio, CMF. Father Joseph Marie Belinga will administer the autonomous sector of Sanguere Paul where he works with Brother Natty Valère, CMF.
