Santiago Province’s Different Life Stages Encounter

Jan 10, 2019 | Ongoing Formation, Santiago

Colmenar Viejo, Madrid. In two different shifts of almost two days, about seventy Claretian missionaries from the Province of Santiago have shared a few days of living together in Colmenar Viejo taking advantage of the Christmas holidays. Following a program that already has a certain tradition in the Province and that seeks to meet the needs of each stage of life, those between 60 and 70 years old and those under 60 met to address their specific issues, reviewing their lifestyle in light of the latest indications of the Church and measure the pulse of the missionary life of the Province. The meetings included very pleasant moments of living together with the Claretians who live in Colmenar, young and old, and a relax celebration of the liturgy, different from the usual celebrations in the ministries.

Although the average age of the Province is high, it is a blessing of the Lord to also count on a dozen of younger missionaries, spread over the four nations in which the Province is present. The participation of the missionaries assigned in Paris, Zürich and the Russian Mission has been especially appreciated. The four members of the Forge Team, residents of Los Negrales, also participated in the meetings that were accompanied at all times by the Provincial Government.
