The Claret Way Youth Network pilgrimage to Rome

Jul 26, 2025 | Youth & Vocations Ministry

Rome welcomes the Claret-Way pilgrimage on the occasion of the 2025 Youth Jubilee. From July 28 to August 4, more than 450 young Claretians will gather to celebrate this Year of Hope.

The time is fast approaching when over 450 young Claretians will come together for the 2025 Youth Jubilee, taking place from July 28 to August 4 in the city of Rome. They will arrive from 27 different countries, each bringing its own language and culture, yet all united by a shared faith, the Claretian charism, and a deep desire to walk together as true Pilgrims of Hope.

This meeting continues the journey that began at World Youth Day in Lisbon, where the Claret Way—an active network of young people committed to the Claretian mission—began to take shape. Now, the journey leads to Rome, with open hearts, feet ready to walk, and the joy of the Gospel as our guide.

The gathering will begin on July 28 with “Claret Way Day”, a day to come together as the Claret Way Youth Network under the charism and missionary spirit that unites us.
On July 29, pilgrims will pass through the Holy Door in the morning. In the afternoon, the Holy Father will inaugurate the Jubilee by presiding over a Mass.
On July 30, participants will enjoy “Dialogue with the City,” engaging with various activities proposed by the general organization.
On July 31, the Claret-Way Network will present its official event: at 8:00 p.m., Espacio Arde will open—a space for young people from around the world to unite in prayer and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.
On August 1, pilgrims are invited to take part in a day of penance at the Circus Maximus, marked by sharing and the sacrament of reconciliation.
On August 2 and 3, the pilgrimage will continue to Tor Vergata, where the Holy Father will lead a vigil and, on the following day, preside over the Mass that will conclude the Youth Jubilee 2025.
On August 4, pilgrims are expected to return home, following a festive celebration on the night of August 3.

Throughout these days, participants will experience intense moments of faith, fraternity, and mission. There will be reunions, celebrations, pilgrimages, and shared moments of silence, reconciliation, prayer, singing, and sending forth. These will be days full of life, with space for peaceful coexistence, the exchange of experiences, games, and the enjoyment of everything the city and the encounter have to offer.

This Jubilee is not simply an event, but a clear call to rediscover the identity and missionary vocation of young people. It is a time of grace—an opportunity to strengthen bonds and rekindle the fire that moves us to be signs of hope wherever we are. We hope these days will mark a new beginning for all.

WHAT IS CLARET-WAY?

The Claret-Way Network is a global community of young Claretians that connects individuals aged 18 to 30 from the Claretian family. It integrates local and regional youth and vocation ministry (PJV in FC) efforts to offer experiences and spaces of communion within the universal mission of the Church, guided by the Claretian charism and the example of Jesus.

The network operates through four key lines of action: communion, solidarity, familiarity, and participation, inspired by four cardinal principles from the apostolic prayer of St. Anthony Mary Claret: to know, to love, to serve, and to praise.
