Rome. On March 19, 2008, the Superior General, Fr. Joseph María Abella, has addressed a letter to the Claretian Missionaries, announcing the XXIV General Chapter that will be celebrated in August of 2009. The theme of the Chapter, “Called to evangelize: how to live our missionary vocation today,” emerged from the consultation made in the assembly of the Superiors of all the Major Organisms of the Congregation gathered in Brazil last month of January. With this

letter, the period of preparation during which the entire Congregation is convoked to make their contributions, suggestions, prayer, etc. A Chapter is always a time of grace that brings about blessings to the life and mission of the Congregation.
