Sep 13, 2011 | Congregation, Santiago, The Forge

Segovia, Spain. On the 12th of September the Eucharist-Life Symposium began at the”San Juan de la Cruz” House of Spirituality in Segovia. Convoked by the General Prefecture of Spirituality, a total of 28 Claretians from various geographical areas of the Congregation will be participating.

The celebration of the Symposium intends, as one of its objectives, to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the “Great Grace” given to St. Anthony Mary Claret: the conservation of the eucharistic species.

After remarks and a clarification of the objectives made by Fr. Gonzalo Fernández, General Prefect of Spirituality, the first day was marked by a fraternal greeting from Fr. Manuel Tamargo, Major Superior of the host province of Santiago, and by a message from Fr. Josep Ma. Abella, Superior General, who, after greeting the participants, presented various themes and very thought-provoking remarks about the ends of the Symposium; and following, presided at the opening Eucharistic celebration.
