The ReBiClar Encounter Has Started

May 21, 2018 | Bible Ministry, MICLA

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The ReBiClar Encounter that is being held right now at the San Francisco de Sales Conference House in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, with the theme “Bible and Politics,” has started with the celebration of the Pentecost Mass in the morning of May 20, 2018. It was presided by Fr. Marcos Aurelio Loro, CMF, Provincial Superior of Brazil, and concelebrated by Claretians from various countries. Fr. Henry Omonisaye, CMF, General Consultor and Animator of the Biblical Apostolate of the Congregation, is present among them.

In the afternoon, they had the enthronement of the Bible, the instrument and guide of their work. Then it was followed by the conveying of messages. The first one is that of Father General, Mathew Vattamattam, CMF through Fr. Henry. Second was the welcome address of the Provincial of the host Province; and then followed by the reminder of the Executive Secretary of MICLA, Fr. José Vidal Pérez, CMF, on the biblical trajectory of ReBiClar. Then follows the presentation of the representatives of the nine Organisms that make up MICLA, a clear evidence of the good collaboration between the Claretians and the lay people committed to the service of the Word of God. The participants are requesting us for prayers for the fruit of the work of these coming days. The Encounter ends on the 26th of this month.

ReBiClar is the Claretian biblical network of the interprovincial conference of the Claretian Missionaries of America (MICLA). It is formed to link together the teams, the communities and the biblical experiences that have emerged from the missionary activities – whose characteristic is the centrality of the Word of God – of the Claretians and lay people in the American continent.
