Kupang, Indonesia. In response to the call of Dream IV of the 2023 General Chapter regarding the Congregation’s mission to reach out and walk with young people, and as a follow-up to the commitment made during the 2023 Assembly of the Indonesia–Timor Leste Delegation to promote Claret Way and train its facilitators/animators, the Youth Ministry and Vocation Promotion Office of the Ave Maria Province organized an intensive training for Claret Way animator candidates.
The training, titled Training of Trainers – Claret Way, Ave Maria Province, was attended by 16 participants and held in Matani, Lasiana, Kupang, from July 9 to 14, 2025. The program aimed to equip participants with the skills, creativity, and innovation needed to accompany young people, adolescents, and children entrusted to their care.
During the training, participants were guided in designing comprehensive accompaniment dynamics—from identifying target groups, defining the objectives and themes of the activities, to drafting detailed activity rundowns for sessions lasting one day, one and a half days, or even three days.
In the Sending Forth Mass, Fr. Valens Agino, CMF – Provincial Superior of the Ave Maria Province – emphasized the importance of having an open heart to keep learning, creating, and courageously “cloning” oneself. “The more people are ignited by the fire of Claret Way that you have received here, the greater the impact will be,” he affirmed.
This training is expected to be a concrete step in forming Claret Way companions who are ready to face the challenges of the times and walk as true friends alongside young people in their journey of faith.
