Webpage on Formation rennovated

Jul 15, 2012 | Formation, ICT

Rome. To mark the celebration of the foundation day of our congregation, the prefecture of formation is launching the renewed webpage on formation today.

The webpage makes an effort to respond to the spirit of the last General Chapter which sensed the call to live in continuous formation in order to be faithful to our charism and mission amidst the many changes that are taking place in the society and the congregation (MFL 12). Indeed, the “proper renewal of religious institutes depends chiefly on the formation of their members” (Potissimum Institutioni,1).

The prefecture of formation has been working for sometime to renew and update the webpage on formation with the technical help of Louie Guades of the Phillipine province.

The site is also independently available to access in the following links:

English: http://www.claretianformation.com/en/

Español: http://www.claretianformation.com/es/

This formation site will eventually serve in the three major languages in the congregation: Spanish, English and French. At the moment French is not in operation in the webpage. Spanish section is still in progress. The goal of the webpage is to serve mostly the formators and formandi in the congregation as a source of information, mutual support among formators and sharing of formation resources in the congregation.

The main objectives of the Webpage are the following:
• To support holistic and integral missionary formation by making available resources pertaining to different dimensions of formation
• To provide easy access to documents of the Church and the congregation.
• To support the study of our charism, Founder and our History.
• To serve as a data bank of formative articles
• To offer opportunities for formators to share their expertise and wisdom through articles and other presentations.
• To enhance mutual knowledge and news related to our formation centers
• To support the development of skills and competencies to ensure holistic growth

The formation site consists of 12 sections with many sub-sections and one Online-course facility. The site needs collaorators from the formators and others to render itself a source of support for Claretian formation.
