Welcome to Segovia!

Aug 9, 2011 | Youth & Vocations Ministry

Segovia, Spain. Everything is ready to receive more than 1,000 youth coming from various youth groups and communities coordinated by members of the Claretian Family who, afterwards, will rendezvous in Madrid to participate in World Youth Day.

The first step of this encounter will be in Segovia from the 12th to the 15th of August. The youth pilgrims and their chaperones will be received and housed at Colegio Claret. And then, until the evening of the 15th, will participate in a series of recreational, catechetical, liturgical, spiritual, and cultural activities with a special emphasis on the charism of Claret on their great journey to Madrid.

From the 16th to the 21st of August, once they are in Madrid, the youth will live this great festival of faith and hope, which will culminate with the vigil on Saturday the 20th and the Eucharist on the 21st presided by Pope Benedict XVI. Then, from the 22nd to the 23rd, the youth will again return to Segovia for an opportunity to share and evaluate the experience lived so that they can go back home to share this Good News of what they had seen and felt.
