West Nigeria Independent Delegation Annual Retreat 2020

Oct 18, 2020 | Ongoing Formation, West Nigeria

Ibadan, Nigeria. On October 12, 2020, thirty-five Perpetually Professed members of West Nigeria Independent Delegation gathered at the Liguori House of the Redemptorist Community in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State in the Southwest zone of Nigeria, for their annual retreat. It was yet another moment that the members gathered to be animated after the spirit of our Father Founder, St. Anthony Mary Claret. This is the first time the members gather together after the Covid19 pandemic outbreak that ravaged world economies, politics, and religion subsided.

Fr. Johnsmart Ezenwankwo, CMF, the retreat moderator from East Nigeria Province, through his apt presentation, reminded the members of the retreat’s theme, “Reflecting Over Our Lives,” underscoring the vital question of who Jesus was. He pointed out that knowing Jesus is very important and the importance of knowing oneself and his life as Claretian Missionaries.

The members were truly nourished this year again and felt edified coming for the retreat. They were indeed happy, as it was shown in their responses during the interactive moments. The retreat came to an end on October 16, 2020, with the closing Mass and blessing.
